Woke up to find a puddle of leaking fluid under my bike (picture below). I noticed that there is coolant leaking from the piece that the radiator hose attaches to (picture below). What do I need to fix this? I see that it is only two bolts to separate this piece to get to an O ring or gasket, whatever is there for sealing. Any tips or things I need to know about fixing this? Any help would be most appreciated!

That's the thermostat housing. I would get:

Lower housing o-ring: 93210-14579-00
o-ring for coolant elbow: 93210-27778-00
Thermostat seal: 11H-12412-01-00
Thermostat o-ring: 93210-43713-00

You may need to remove drain valve to get the thermostat housing off. I can't remember if I did or not.

Wow, awesome information Maleko. I truly appreciate your response! Do you have a recommended parts supplier that you have dealt with before?

also since you are gonna drain coolant, id chg the oring in the little plastic drain selector.

Thanks a lot! Those are the little things that are so useful to know ;) Sean Morely is defiantly the way to go when you can go that way!

I would just send you a used lid (you can see the crack in the picture).

Yeah, I actually didn't even realize that but I just went and took a look and definitely cracked. If you want to throw the parts together for everything I should replace just send me an invoice!

You just need that lid. Email me the address and i'll send you one. All the rest can probably be reused just fine.

Sean

Sean, thanks for the parts and for your willingness to help! I drained the coolant last night and tonight, I will pull the thermostat elbow off. Any suggestions? There are two bolts holding the cover on, 1 of them closest to the radiator appears to be in a tight location! Should I pull the radiator?

Yeah, remove the big hose coming from the radiator cap/manifold, remove bolts to radiator and let it hang forward. Make sure you protect your front fender.

Forgot to say when we sent that cap. If you use the orings I sent please get back with me. The cap is free but i'd like some funds for the orings if needed.

Sean

I changed everything out. Getting the thermostat elbow off is not so simple though, there is no room to get the back 5mm allen bolt out! Had to remove the headers first.
