Been patient on getting it right and my bud who is an amazing machinist did not let me down.
Old school PM chicane 3 spoke 18x5.5 rear wheel.
All new bearings and custom right side GSXR rotor mount and axle/swingarm spacer allowing stock Suzuki caliper mount to be retained.
Caliper...
Well I was stocked, ..my new tires worked 100%. parked the bike and then gave the bike a good looking over. OIL from one caliper,.ah crap ! Time for new caliper kits. Then I went over to the other side of the bike...more Oil ! But it was coming from the top of the shock and dripping down the...
Quick edit, I just noticed there is a user mods section, this might have been better in that thread rather than here as in fabrication terms it was a simple task in reality. Still, its done and posted here now.
I Hated the original tail light with a vengeance. One of the first changes to the...
Has anybody had a severely stiff front brake lever after replacing front pads?? Before I replaced them it had some pull before the brakes would start to grab. Now when I pull it they almost grab instantly, but they do release, they aren't dragging. There just seems to be no free play to say lol...
I've just bought my 1990 vmax and found a fair amount of problems - not that i didnt expect them as i got it for a good price.
The rear brake was non-existent, the reservoir has more or less disintegrated, having a FZR600 in bits i found that they use the same so i changed it over. Went to...
I dropped my bike today :sad2:, but it wasn't as bad as I'd thought it would be. But I do have one issue: the mirror threads on the right break reservoir broke off with the mirror (I guess it was tougher than I thought).
Any idea on how to secure the mirror back on? the threads left on the...
Just started wondering about this yesterday, well thought more about it yesterday. But does anyone know if the Clutch Master cylinder on the Gen 2 could be used on the Gen 1? Kinda like the smaller look of it. Looked up the price it looks like it's about the same for either on partzilla. Not...
I know me again lol. Took the bike to work today after installing the new rear Galfer rotor and dp404 pads. After 10 miles or so it started making a loud hum when coming to a stop? Got home and took it apart, cleaned it all again including the pins and the metal thing that sits on top. I scuffed...
It seems the one thing left that is blocking me mounting the windshield I want is clutch and brake levers. The stock ones contact the windshield.
I have seen several different clutch and brake levers offered, but I am not certain which ones out there will fit what I need. (also need them to...
This weekend I changed my front brake pads and notice something odd. My brakes are stock and when I removed the pads from both calipers one pad was petty much wore all the way down and the other pad still had lots of pad on it. The bike was stopping well before the change. What is this...
I have sean's busa caliper on a 320mm rotor on the front. Great idea. Looks good. Blah blah.
But... I have fjr masters. I have bled the front a few times now. The brakes work.... But the lever travels really far. I really haven't ridden it much with the setup, but I'm wondering if I have a...
Don't think these will fit the rear, since the rear caliper looks to be the same size at the front two.. The two old pad looks like the gold toned ones in the photos.
Hy,
Still on my 1986 Royal Venture (XVZ1300) project
A little question about brake swap :ummm:

Ok, I am not an electrician and searched all over and tried some of the things I found to no avail.
I read in one post about checking the yellow wire in the rear.
11.9 volts with the rear brake lever ( which actually works the light fine )
6.xx volts with the front brake lever...
Okay, here's the deal. It's ridding season again in my lovely town. Over this winter I seem to have forgotten I have small hands... I'm a big fella with a size medium paw.
Now the clutch lever is very heavy on this bike I don't mind that. But I'm reaching for both my clutch and my brake. It...
I just wanted to take a few minutes to write a review for HEL Performance brake lines and also Moto Heaven. Anyway, for anyone not familiar with HEL Performance, they make custom braided lines in almost any color and setup you would want and Through moto heaven their price and service was great...
