The monkey bit me again! Just ordered a pair of Works Pro Racer Shocks. Threaded preload adjuster, fully adjustable compression and rebound damping and even ride height adjustment. All built to my specifics (weight, passenger, riding ability, etc). Will be ready in about 3 weeks. Can't wait!!!

My 96vmax has 30k on it with the stock shocks. Would a pair of used progressive 412's with less than 4k on them be better if that's all I can afford at this time?

Later this week(hopefully this thursday) the stock Dunlop tires on my 07 Max will be replaced with Metzler ME880s in the suggested stock size for the VMax . At the same time as the tires are being replaced; the stock shocks currently on the bike will be replaced with Progressive Suspension...
