springs

'06 model with 11,000 miles. The front breaks are squelling the rear feel spngy. I'm going to replace the OEM brake pads with EBC HH pads. The manual says to replace the shims and springs as well. Did y'all replace your's?

I just bought a 99 Vmax. How or what's a good way to tell if the springs were changed from stock? i don't want to oder new springs if I don't need them.

Has anyone installed just the top Progressive (brand) springs and not the additional bottom one or two springs under the dampner? I know I'm being lazy but from what I think I've read not everyone seems to add them. If this is OK to do how long should the spacers be for a 2" drop?

I called race tech and the rep. said they don't have a spring that lowers an 01 max. I want to lower the front about an inch and buy their emulators. Can I shorten a spacer in the fork to lower it? Any one using this set-up? Help!

I have bought some progressive springs to replace the original ones. Can someone please let me know the procedure and wether or not I have to drop the forks or can I install them by just gaining access from the top etc.
