while the max was parked at the local mall a while back someone tried to jimmy the ignition key. by doing so they damaged the opening there is no flap covering the hole once the key is removed.....i am sure this will pose a problem with water getting into the switch and corroding contacts...

New bikes don't deal with reserve switchs and at least the vmax has a light. Can I just leave the switch set to Reserve and the bike will run on both the regular tank and the reserve portion? Because it has been a really long time since I've ridden a vmax I forgot all about the Reserve switch...
