Which is colder?

Ok I just got done building my motor. The bike fired up fine but measuring temp the right rear cyl ran hot went up to 380F. All the other cyl are fine running at 180 220 at idle. I checked cam timing which is good. What may this be or what do I need to check? Thanks Yankee

Any way of testing the temp gauge, the fan seems to be kicking in at half way 3 Oclock, normally it would only kick in past the half way mark, not sure if it the gauge or something else.:ummm: Thanks, Ron

I live in arizona and of course it's hot but yesterday I was in a bit of traffic in 106 degree weather and the temp gauge was up to just under the red line and the fan was not on. When is it suspost to activate? Question 2. What brand and # oil filter do you use ? Thanks for the halp.
