I am going to run the Shinko 011 Verge front (120/70zr - 18) and Rear (200/50zr - 18) on the Carrozzeria's I'm getting from Sean. To add to that I am also going to be adding a 3" longer braced swing arm Sean is making up for me and he knows that I want to run a 200 tire as centered as possible. The only thing I'm worried about now is that my plate/ tailight is going to have enough clearance but I'm thinking I should be ok w/ 13" shocks and lower shock mounts moved forward.

Hey Brian, can't wait to see the "new, improved Redbone"!!:punk:
I'm doing a 3" on mine as well.

Yep, starting next week we are finally going to be working on the extended arms. We have 5 to build so far. We are going to try and do them all at the same time to cut time down on the setups.

I can't wait to see your bike too, I'll be catching up to you in the radial tire area too. I hope I can make Thunder!:eusa_pray:

Brian, You'll likely need the 13" shocks, maybe more with an 18". I've got the 17" on mine and the 12.5" looks a little short although I haven't had it on the road. I'm switching the 180 to a 190/55 and that'll make it even closer. I'll have to go back to my stock shocks. Glad I kept them.

I have a kosman 18x6 rim not a 5.5 i looked this morning before I came to work. With that said should i just go to a 200/50-18 they sell them in a shinko verge i think they would look sweet. I shouldve took some measurement and pictures of the rear end. Jon at PCW said the rear is a mad max set up to I would think being chain driven and having the 18x6 rim i could fit a 200 in there no problem

Nevermind that 200 tire. With the 170 that's on there I only have a 1/2" clearance to my chain. It wont fit

Im gonna bring this thread back... I just received my kosman 17" bolt together rims.. im in a delema on what to do. Currently I have an 18" Kosman on my rear for chaindrive only.. and the new 17" rear is made for either chain or shaft... im looking at resale it will be hard for me to sell an 18" rim made just for chaindrive and only having 1 rim and not a set.. I recently saw my same rear rim go for 450 on ebay seeing how it is a universal rim you can use on any chain drive with some spacer and bushing mods. I don't know what to do. Im worried about handling and weight shift without the bigger rim in back and smaller in front. I just don't want the handling to be worse lol the whole point is for better handling.. I tried calling john at PCW I left a message and waiting for his reply. Sean said he doesn't see there will be a problem. Like I said before its all about resale of rims if I could sell my 18 I would just be putting the 17" on it

The only thing I have to offer is that much better tires are available for the 17" rear than the 18" and I wish I had have gone with a 17" and not the 18" I have.

Can't really address the resale issues.

Yea john just called me back from PCW after talking to him I think I will be sticking with the 17" I can always throw my 18 on ebay because it is a universal drag bike rim

whats the difference in overal diameter for 18" front tire you are running vs the one you want on the 17"?

I don't have a preferred tire I was just debating strictly for resale purposes of the rear rim. .

ah okay i thought u were talking about height differences and such. no idea on that, carry on!

Well yea if I were to keep the 18 rear and put 17 in front would it create handling problems because of different sizes. But I think im just going with the 17's and if I have to sell the 18 on ebay
