170 tire and washer swap questions

I slapped on a 170 just a few months ago and did not need to do the washer swap.

well, i did the washer swap, i will swap it back lol.
im going to get a 170/90 15 tire. my mechanic will be taking the wheel off to change both tires. it was easy to do. so if for some reason i need to add the clearance later, i will know how. thank you all for the help and tips

I've seen 180's without the washer swap. Bias and Radial.

I have a shinko 170 with no washer swap. I had to do the swap with Avon Venoms in the past. I have friend running a 180 Michelin on a stock rear wheel, but you have to put it on deflated then inflate once installed to clear the swingarm.
