I think the fun factor and stealth value would make this worth the asking price. The police would ignore it unless you did a burnout under their noses. :punk:

From the ebay motors ad (it sold May 1 for $22K):
"Professionally built Volkswagen Beetle body with no rust, on a custom-made tubular steel frame and Corvette transverse leaf spring front and rear suspension. It has a Z4 400-hp Chevy 350 cu.in. V8 with a Corvette tuned port injection (TPI) system, aluminum driveline, Dana 36 rear end, and 16" aluminum wheels with Z-rated tires. It has a 3" dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. With the widened and flared fenders, this bug is 9" wider than the standard '71 Super Beetle, which gives it a bolder stance and impressive appearance. Tan leather interior."

The seller was not the builder.

That's really cool. I'm trying to figure out exactly what was stretched to stuff all that stuff in there.

Is the body stock except for the fender flairs?

And 'way-more fun than a new Altima, or some KIA or Hyundai.
