I wish I could get a pic of him those things are so darned shy you can't get anywhere near them. But here's a shot after he left! I'll admit, it's hard to believe a friggin' BIRD could do that, but...........he did!unk:

It has taken quite awhile but I finally got him!!

The Giant Pecker!!

He's pictured here with a Northern Flicker, a pretty good sized bird himself....the 'big pecker' is considerably larger. I'm guessing he would measure in at 14" - 16" tall!

I wonder if these things are good to eat? :hmmm:
