Ian and I were talking about the Max this morning, and he admitted that he took it to top speed on the way back from Thunder a few years ago.
The bike had about 127,000 miles on it at the time, and he said it hit 150 on the speedometer. Exactly what I saw on it back in 1985.
It's still got it... I did advise him that that's pretty high mileage for a stock motor that was never rebuilt to be winding up to redline..
But it is pretty cool.
