Re: welcome our newest member....

He left the door open, so I snuck in too!

Howdy ya'll. I don't know how long this forum has been around, but I'm glad to have found you. I've been reading and looking at your bikes for the last two days. Great site.

I own a 86 Max, and a Kawasaki bayou that I squeezed a Yamaha XJ750 Seca engine into. What can I say? if it has wheels, it needs to be quick!

Hi Steve! :welcome_sign:
You have some nice mods on your VMax.:thumbs up: Is that a small air filter I see on your rear diff? I've never seen that before.

Re: Hi Guys From The U.k

Very nice Max....Are your scoops painted or anodized???

I think the "filter" on the rear end is a breather. like you use on valve covers....

Re: Hi Guys From The U.k

thanks for the comments ,the scoops are painted and the filter is a breather filter purchased from an auto spares shop, the inlet on the filter is 19mm just the same as the diff breather so it just pushed on!

i have since fitted a 17'' thunderace rear wheel and polished scoops and having tank cover airbrushed (see post in user mods) will post pictures in V4 garage when its finished
cheers

How much trouble was it to fit the thunderace rear wheel?

Re: Hi Guys From The U.k

'How much trouble was it to fit the thunderace rear wheel?'

it came with a new spindle and spacers to suit Max , if you would like dimensions i could measure it up next time its out.heres a pic from my phone (spindle not in at that stage)
