Here is a shot of my bike ('92, had it since '93) at "The Beach," as-in Daytona Beach, at the racetrack, with the turn 1 banking in the background, and to the right of that is the flattrack. This is a bit older shot of the bike, It looks different now, same basic color, but a different exhaust canister in-place of the UFO 4/1 'shorty.' I have my airhorn now mounted in the right-side "V."
The best part of going to Daytona w/a UFO 4/1 is making all the Harley guys jealous, they wish their bikes sounded like that! Harley made a prototype water-cooled V-4 before the AMF sell-off but it got set-aside when the employee management group had to choose between the Evolution re-design engine and the new V-4. Guess-which one 'won?' Tradition, of-course! Here's a coupla-shots from the H-D Milwaukee Museum. Porsche was the engineering firm which consulted w/H-D on it. Though it was heavily-finned, that was to not alienate the H-D loyalists. The radiator was under the seat.
