I have a stebel horn on my KLR 650, but don’t think it will fit on my new Vmax. Anybody out there with horn mods completed and ate you happy with them?

I installed the Denali Soundbomb on my 2018 and it looks absolutely stock. I cant believe some of the pics on here where someone used a piece of angle iron to mount a horn!? Are you friggin kidding me!?!? Mine looks like it was installed by the factory and it sounds AWESOME!!!

Got any pics of the install ?

These was one of the pics I took when I was installing the horn. Ill take better ones and post them if anyone wants them. The horn needed to be adjusted when I was done but I have people tell me all the time it looks stock!

I have a stebel or clone horn which I placed under the faux tank cover amongst the pod filters. It doesn't hinder the sound as it's LOUD and is neatly tucked out of view

That looks great, more pics would be awesome if you could find the time. Thanks

Here are some more pics of my horn. Sorry they arent a bit better but my bike has been covered for the winter. I can always take more when it warms up.

I installed mine on my sliders. Went to Lowes, got a corner brace and drilled out the holes wider. Used the relay and had no issues

Yesterday on the way to work some bozo pulled out of a side street in front of me which I had to take evasive action. I unleashed about 10 seconds of decibels followed by a middle finger. It was truly wonderful

I used a WOLO Bad Boy and mounted it to the lower bolt of the side brace if the engine using a small black L bracket. Fits great tucked away. I originally tried to put it where the stock mount was but it looked terrible and out of place.

I did mine using an L bracket that was offered with the horn. It installed very tight and even though you can't see in the pics it doesn't touch anything. There is a bolt I removed under the bike. Make sure to use blue lock tight when you put it back. I installed a relay under the seat to utilize the original wiring. I could not find a way to cleanly run new wires. The original horn relay can not handle the amps but if you go to where that hooks up and add a 30 amp relay in between the original wires can handle the load fine.

I use this Screaming Banshee horn. Wired it in, now a touch of the horn button is a blast, and holding it down cycles the horn on and off and blinks the headlight too. Works great. I mounted it right under the left scoop.

I’ve got that same horn, mounted underneath the bike. Very loud, I have my stock horn for inspection purpose n flip the toggle n the button runs just the Denali sound bomb. Definitely turns heads

One thing a lot of people dont realize is that the horn should be pointed towards the ground for optimum volume. It actually bounces off the pavement and is louder when properly positioned. Thats why I replaced my stock horn and put the Denali in its place - it is sloped towards the ground.
