Usually a failure to control the gas flow from a carburetor is due to fuel impurities, fine particulate material from either dirty gas (try another gas station) or from tank corrosion (tank cleaning and if needed, sealing).
Sometimes taking something like a 1/2" extension bar and repeatedly tapping the float bowl will promote flushing the crud keeping the float needle from seating, out of the float needle seat. If the gas tank is rusty, it will probably just begin seeping out the overflow tube again. If you have a garage where you keep your bike, which has a gas water heater, do not store your motorcycle there until the issue is permanently fixed! Gasoline vapors can travel 30 ft to a point of ignition, your gas-powered hot water heater.
