I would question the Marvel Mystery Oil usage. How many times have you changed the oil since then? A lot of those additives have friction additives in them not good for a clutch

Yeah, thinking back i started noticing the problem after my first oil change with the synthetic blend. Then I used the MMO and it got more pronounced. I've only changed the oil once since the MMO.
It only occurs when I jump on it hard in the taller gears and V Boost kicks in.
I'm probably going to Chuck the Activo and see if it resolves. If not, I'm going to replace the friction plates.

Hello all, I'm looking for a little advice/feedback from more experienced Maxers...I have a 2003 with 13k miles. Bike runs great and I care for it well. The issue I'm having is clutch slippage when I'm on the throttle (already in gear) and accelerating. Usually when approaching 6-7k rpm. The clutch seems fine otherwise and never slips in moderate riding. The bike sat before I bought it a year ago. I went through it and changed/flushed ALL fluids and oils. It seems odd to me that the clutch only slips during hard acceleration in the taller gears?? Should I do a complete replacement?? I know the 'double D' mod could solve the issue, but I've heard that can cause issues with the driveline (u- joint etc.) I'm considering replacing all the friction plates; is that the best course??
Any feedback would be appreciated 🙏
Best to you'all !!
Is it slipping in 5th as well? Your tire could be a harder rubber that is not getting great traction and is literally spinning underneath you until you hook up. I can hear my tire spinning in 3rd and 4th.

No it's not that. It's actually improved. I'm pretty sure it was the MMO I put in the oil before my last oil change. The bike did sit a lot before I purchased it; I feel like some of the friction plates were damaged somehow because of it. The lower gears grab perfect so it's perplexing...
