Looks like we are now offering crankshaft repair, stroking, and balancing. Also can lighten and balance flywheels.
The crank repair isn't something I would normally do but if you have a spun bearing crank (and the block is good) we could stroke the crank 2mm and balance it at the same time. Loses 1lb out of the crank on average. Gain is minimal in cc's (makes it 1234cc from 1198) but along with the increase in cc you also get a compression increase to 12:1 from the same pistons.
So, the increase stroke adds more torque, the increased displacement adds more HP, and the increased compression ratio adds more of each!
Cranks are hard welded, straightened, turned/ground, balanced, and magnafluxed and look as good or better then new when completed.
Lightened flywheels are easily 1lb lighter (maybe more) and will help rev's (as if they aren't revvy enough lol). Heavier flywheels have inertia which isn't necessarily bad for smooth operating (not to say these won't be smooth lol).
$1250 for the Crank Stroke, Balance, and flywheel work ($1200 for crank stroke work only). Requires sending in the rod and piston parts (if stock we can send our parts). We can do this work on exchange even with cranks that have spun bearings. Exchange cranks will only have a little more shipping cost on them.
Increased strokes are also available but require different pistons at a minimum and most times will suggest to use an aftermarket rod (which we can supply both).
We are currently working on a 9mm stroke engine which will be a little over 1500cc's using one of our 1300 blocks with 1mm bore only (no sleeve changes which leaves us a much larger sealing surface for the head gaskets and thicker walls for better cooling/heat retention in the cylinders).
Flywheel's will run $150 to lighten and balance if done separately plus shipping.
