Deposits on magnetic sump plug

Rear ends in cars and transmissions in some cars have them. They just stick to the inside. When you pull the pan you just clean them off and reinstall.

I thought many vehicles used magnetic sump plugs? I sure have seen a bunch..

Some do. They aren't floating loose though.
