Ok here comes my lack of knowledge.....lol what is "tripple trees " I just got this bike and it's been 7 years since my last VMAX so I'm not sure what "tripple trees " are, are they good? :clapping:

haha my bad for once my spelling was on the ooops side.. Triple tree if you please.

They are the bits that hold your front forks in place. In the UK they call them top and bottom yokes.

Your fork tubes are poking out over an inch out of the top yoke. That's the most common way of lowering a Max. From factory, the top of the forks is flush with the yoke.

Thanks for pointing that out I never even noticed that..... is that good or should I put it back to factory??

well it's up to you really.. Some people will swear the Max handles better when lowered, but mostly it's a look thing and sometime related to the leg inseam measurement of the owner.

Another it does is reduce your ground clearance, so it's easier to beach parts if you like steep angles. There's a very recent thread about this, and the high cost involved in dropping..
I don't get this problem living in FL, we just have no turns LOL

I would measure your rear shocks if they aren't the OEM ones - stock is 13". Do you have pics of the whole bike?

I run mine at stock height both front and rear, love it this way. But then I'm 6'2"..

I will be taking pictures and video soon but it has been raining here since I got home with the bike, good thing it started after I got home. So pictures to come as soon as it stops raining and I can clean the bike after a 623 mile ride home.

I will do some reading about the lower font end.....

My max is lowered 2 3/4 " in the front and 2" in the rear and I`m 6`1" and I love it, it steers great and handles good and with the air shocks on the rear, it rides really smooth.:punk:Two weeks ago I did 314 miles. It looks alot meaner too:eusa_dance:
