Both my neutral switch and my sidestand switch on the '86 read 75-100Ω when closed, which I think is too high (should be close to zero Ω)

Are these switches serviceable or do they need to be replaced? :ummm:

At 13 volts a 100 ohm resistor will allow only .13 amp to flow through.
In comparison, a resistance of .5 ohms allows 26 amps to flow through.
So, I guess they are stuffed.

So, if they are stuffed, try and pull them apart to clean the contacts, because you can't make it much worse than stuffed!

Makes sense, that's my next port of call. Also I think the battery is stuffed - not helping!
