Well, here's some progress pictures of the tail section going on...The driver backrest worked out great...

so i was out in front of autozone gearing up, when a guy come strolling up pointing at my max and hollers "where dya get that?" i started prepping my usual spiel that describes the vmax lineage to those who have never seen a vmax, but the guy (aka Doug) continues with "i can't find any anywhere". flabbergasted, cuz they ARE somewhat rare in my parts of the woods, but by no means are there less than a handful tearing up my local streets. course i told him 'bout craigslist, cycletrader, and eBay, but i took a look as soon as got home and sure enough, the "for sales" have dried up to only a couple in the area.
so i am thinking, Kyle, if you had any Maxes for sale. reason being, i'm thinking of inviting Doug to FTD, just cuz I think he would love to see a bunch of Maxes together, and maybe even see a well-maintained one that the good 'ol Cap may have. I'll post an add in the Wanted section.

Bring him along ! Maybe I should tell Spyder to ride his Gen 1 instead of his gen 2 dont know what the guy is wanting to spend but I know Jerrys bike is nice !
Ditto to that, I'm bringing Gary and Earl to get them pumped on VMax's and our "Brotherhood" too..

so i called doug up and it seems that he's interested. i'd say it's 50/50. i'll know for sure as the weekend approaches. from the phone call it sounds like that kyle and doug may have some "drag racing" fat to chew. i think he had a fazer back in the day and some crotch rocket. he rides a road king currently, but it ain't doing it for him. he talks as like he REALLY wants a max.

I am expecting to get my engine back on Fri. so I will be having my own tech day if I can get it painted. I have blasting media-silica sand, kiln-dried, and a pressure can & gun, so I am hoping to be able to do that this weekend & be ready for the install next week. Have fun, maybe I'll be at the next one. Take plenty of pics & videos!
Just finished seasoning 15 lbs of ribs to cook Saturday Also gonna do some stuffed jalapenos now just to figure out what else Chef Kyle is gonna cook for the day.
