Whats the forumla for the easiest way to squeeze out a Burrito.... I need some coefficent numbers with will result with the least amount of pushing pressure on my a hole

With the power your going to make your back tire (if it hooks up) will try to become your front tire. It's all about weight transfer... no bar short wheelbase sport bike guys actually add lead shot ballast hidden under the front fairing.

Are you going to run a bar? Anyway with or without your going to want to strap that front end down. That way you force the bike to lift the front end off the ground when you let go of the clutch. If you don't, what happens is a kind of slide hammer effect when you unload the front end. Which equals big wheelies (no bar) or bouncy front end (with bar)

With that rake on your bike you'll probably need about a 1" spacer in your front end to lower the bike and stiffen the springs (You don't need any fancy springs either). With that lowering spacer in place it's tough to get the threaded spring retaining caps back on tubes. Sooo by doing that you stiffen the spring force on the front end and get less rebound.

Sorry I didn't talk too much about tires : )

Here is my new (used) front tire. I told you I am going low-budget here. Anyway, it went right on, popped like an SOB when the bead set, but the wheel guy said that was normal for low profile tires. The total weight with the wheel, tire and rotor was right at 20lbs (Tire = 5lbs, wheel and rotor = 15lbs). I think I need to make some spacers to lower the fender... looks kinda funny hainging up so high off the tire.

I weighed my rear rim off the 85 and it was almost 1 lb lighter than the later model wheel (no rotor and no tire) I'm pretty sure I am going to turn down the 85 wheel to accept the drag slick. I took a few pictures of the 85 wheel with the lip and the wheel I got from Morley that had the lip removed to accept the slick.

Jeff, I have a piece of delrin bar left over that I used to make spacers to lower my front fender - if you want it, send me a pm and I'll mail it to you. Check out my garage/album for pics of them on the bike.

Thanks Mike, I may take you up on that. I'm not sure what shipping is, and I don't want it to be one of those situations where shipping it to me is going to be more than if I just buy it locally. I'm heading to your garage/album now.

Thanks again!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. This forum is GREAT!!!!! The people are GREAT!!!!! The VMax is GREAT!!!!! (most of the time)

Update:

That is a great lookin bike!

Ah gee thanks fellows - the bike is always under construction and this winter is no different.

Jeff, if you want it, just send me a pm with address and I'll mail it to you and let's consider it my contribution to your drag bike project.

Mike
