So far so good with my Harlan light. The only issue that I have with mine is that when I hit the horn button, it will cause the light to come on.

I think that water could be an issue with the Harlan lights so I came up with a "better" design.

So when I first got mine, I modified it so I could have a smaller, waterproof set-up. I had a custom bracket made my Tom at COO.

First pic is the light that I made. It is an LED from Custom Dynamics. Second pic is where it shift light control unit is in a stock housing from Harlan. I bought new end caps and have it mounted down by ECU.

That's cool, Kevin. So if I understand correctly, you used the Harlan light as a control module, but branched out of it with your own waterproof light. Correct?

I believe the Harlan is a good light, I have used my light for 2+ seasons without issue. Although I it has a little problem now it still works normally except for when I'm turning the handlebars lock to lock. I will secure the cable from twisting each time I turn the handlebar then resolve the wire fatigue and I should be good to go.
I wouldn't worry too much about the problems Garrett and Rovic have had as it seems to be the exception and not the norm. Harlan's customer service is not that great but like I have mentioned I have not needed to call him as his light works well.

yes that is correct. I soldered new wires onto his board and ran to my own light.

I have extra caps somewhere, that house the module, if your interested in doing one yourself

I might do this mod to my Harlan at some point this summer. You mentioned that Tom made you a bracket for it (and O.P. gauge) what size is the tube you used for shift light?

Yes that is Tom bracket for the shift light and OP gauge. Just like his other products, its perfect!
The tube that I used for the shift light is the stock housing that Harlan make the light out of. I just had to get the rubber end caps to fit. I think I had to buy a bag of 50. So like I said, if you need a pair ....
