Has anyone ever eliminated the rear fender?

I agree. It just looks like someone removed the fender and looks like hell. I like the long look which makes it more drag bike appearing.

+1, I think it looks best with the fender in place, the tail light ditched and the swingarm extended 3".

+1, in keeping with the original design of the Vmax, a longer swingarm look better, rear fender retained and the stock tail light/ plate holder 86'd!
The less there is to detract from the original fenders lines the better. The original taillight is too big and the plate hanger is at the wrong angle IMO.
If your going to have a plate on the rear fender it needs to follow the inner line of the fender. I going to eliminate the inner fender and still have the plate/ tail light mounted there.
