^ You can buy the CarbTune for $100 and use it every spring to keep your VMax running properly.
The instructions can be found here:

Synching the Carbs is actually very simple with a CarbTune.
Why spend $150 dollar every year when you can Synch them your self in about 15-20 Minutes.

+1 The Max is one of the easiest bikes to sync I have ever owned. Most with normal gas tanks require removing the tank to get to the carbs and special fittings to attach the sync tool to the carbs. I have a Motion Pro mini tank just for supplying gas to the carbs with the tank removed. Buy the Carb Tune and be done with it. It is the best sync tool I have owned and I have synced carbs since the 70's including the six carbs on a CBX. (Which is a giant PITA BTW. :biglaugh:)

Thanks guy's I may try to get the 1's on amazon.com it's seam's people are happy with them. Only thing no info on how to use them.

Also the local shop to syc the carbs was $150.00 is this a good price?

No...its not a good price...they are probably charging you for an hour to hour and a half labor for 15 min worth of work. At the very least...they dont know how to work on a Vmax and are over charging you...at the most..its a rip off...

Agreed! Plus, the first time you whack it WOT that $150 sync will change slightly.

Get the tool....whichever one you like....and avoid the shops if possible.

I called them again and lift a massage and email them. I hope to here from them.

But I may buy the other gauges with dials on them. Can please please big brother's VMAXer's help me with them, when they come in. I may ask few crazy question just letting you no ahead of time. All of you used the black 1 morgan. I no now where the A/F screws are thanks to you guy's. My wife thought I was nuts looking around the freak'en carbs for about 1 hour or more.

Hi guy's, sorry a little late with this, I bought the 1's off of amazon.com that has the 4 gauges i have not use them yet though been still working on the bike.

Here's, a few pictures of the gauges I bought they are very nice and easy to use.
I syc the carbs, and I was able to have all the carbs reading the same.

I bought all new parts - except jets.
"O" to I replace all rubber boots - carbs and intake with new. I broke off 1 of the carb black drain end, so I drilled out the straight end - and install a rubber hose and a clamp to hold it in place. I boiled the carbs in lemon choice all metal parts, it clean the parts up really good. The carb drain hoses I install wire ties behind that 2 hole plate so I don't pull the carbs drain hoses to far.

Danny help me on rebuilding the carbs.
The bike been up running for a few weeks.

I tried upload a few more pictures, but could not get it to work.

I'm not sure what your trying to say, would you be a little more clear.....

Alcohol may have been involved jag but I was simply trying to make the point that there seems to be no definitive answer as to which type of synchro tool consistently seems to be chosen, used or recommended. It seems everyone has a different idea and a different take on the situation. Sorry if I came across as pithy with my post. It's the English vernacular in me :(

Chris.
