I have a V-Max it's been sitting for a long time. It starts from run for a few seconds and then dies, any ideas what the problem is?
I agree, while the 'peashooter' and the 'shotgun' may have some limited success, tearing-down the carbs and an ultrasonic bath and probing of the passageways to unblock stubborn deposits, along with verifying those pesky pilot jets are 'see-through' clean, along with a clean supply of gasoline (a clean gas tank, and gas filter) with no vacuum leaks, setting the float levels correctly, and synchronizing the carbs when reinstalled, is how to approach this.If the motorcycle has "been sitting for a long time", Seafoam will not solve its problems. It will need additional persuasion.
