High temp powder coating for exhaust

i found an older kerger 4 into 2 system but the headers are a little rough for $300, and wanted to find out how much to refinish before i bought it, the guy also has a stainless hindle 4 into 1 for cheap.

So i called a powder coating shop 4 miles from my house to see if he knew were to get it ceramic coated. He told me he could high temp powder coat them in black or silver for $100. He does a lot of micro sprint car exhausts and it holds up great.

I know my local powdercoater has done hi temp p/c for exhausts and hasn't had a problem yet. I have mine ceramic coated, but thats another whole discusssion.

no comparison just tried to find someone local, is there a big difference between the two?

as far as what it looks like? I doubt it but Sean would know for sure. I think ceramic coating is about the same $$ wise.

But if it was me, and i wanted it quick (hence going local) and for $100. yea i'd probably try it to see if it works.

Are you coating steel or SS?

I'd only do the $100 high temp deal if it was going to be a well done job, done quickly and I didn't want to wait for shipping etc etc.
