There will be a fair bit of Maxgasser seat testing going on at BR11!! As part of the initial testing group, the first seat I bought would be replaced later on after any bugs were worked out of the process.

Got a call from Rick last night, my "Forever Maxgasser" is completed and he's bringing it over Thurs. am. I can't wait to see it and shoot the poop with Rick for awhile! :clapping:

Pictures will, of course, follow!! :punk:

Mike, guess we'll just have to sit on them and make bbrum...bbrum noises for a few months....eh? :rofl_200:

Hell Danny, I have already been sitting on the bike for the last couple of months, in the garage, making bbrum bbrum sounds.

Depending on the day, sometimes it sounds like HMF exhaust, Kerker, Mark's exhaust, etc... and when I'm tired, it just sounds like stock exhaust:ummm:

i must say the response time and professionalism of richard is second to none. im anxiously awaiting the arrival of my seat, the first red stitched maxgasser, to arrive on my door step any day now. i will def post pics of the seat and my 07. if anyone needs that lil push to buy this seat, DO IT. happy holidays...

The Maxgasser Merry Christmas Man showed up this morning with my 'forever' seat for the '99, man it's a beauty. Fits like a glove and looks very sharp. I won't discredit the seat by taking pics of it until I get the carbs back on and everything back together, but trust me, the seat is up to Rick's usual high standard of perfection. :clapping:

Rick had called me a couple nights ago and said he would be here between 8 & 8:30 this morning....the clock had chimed 4 of the 8 times when I saw him pulling in the driveway....travelled here from Massachusetts, over the Berkshire Mtns. on a snowy, windy day....man, that's customer service I'll tell ya!!

Thanks Rick!! :worthy:

He also brought a Maxgasser with blue stitching....one of his first of that design. You guys getting colored thread....you won't be disappointed, it's really sharp! :thumbs up:

Dan , I enjoyed the visit and would have loved to stay longer but I would have felt guilty not being in the "factory "Glad you like the seat :biglaugh:! the trip up was fun it was still snowing:clapping: but it had warmed up enough on the way home that it was'nt slippery any more:bang head:.made good time both ways:biglaugh:.

heres a pic of blue thread but I have to scrap this cover(blemish bottom rear corner of driver section) but it will give an idea of the subtle addition the stitching is.

well dannymax... it looks like you and i got a great gift from santa (richard) just in time. i came home after work today to see the first of many mods to my max.... wow, this seat is immaculate. congrats on being the first blue, the red is gonna look great on my bike. richard, i hope your business takes off and you can be assured that many maxers are gonna be sitting and testing this seat out. i know the better half smiled as the pass seat is already by the looks of it 100 x the seat.

thank you and ill get you some pics when installed.

happy holidays!!!!!!
evan...

Evan, Sorry...my wording is misleading....my Maxgasser has black thread, Rick brought the one with blue thread to show me what it looked like.

Congrats on your new seat, you'll like it all over again when the winter ends and you can try it out! :punk:

Bill, you WILL have the first blue stitched MAXGASSER, if fact if I hadnt screwed up:bang head: the one in the pic it would have been on its way already!

Incidentally folks, Rick's idea of "screwed up" is a barely noticeable blemish in a difficult to see area on the seat. In fact, if it was red stitching instead of blue I would beg Rick to let me put it on my '06!

But....nope, it's getting changed....he will NOT put out anything which he considers sub-standard....and he's a harsh judge, believe me!!:punk:

Thanks Dan, just trying to put some pride back into "Made in america":flagwaver:

I ordered my seat last week and was informed today that it will ship this week...
Sweeeeet!!!

this seat brings the vmax back into the 21st century, :D

it looks comfortable just from the pics. the stock seat sucks and all your weight is on a 3 by 3 inch patch

Thanks Dan, just trying to put some pride back into "Made in america":flagwaver:

now that statement right there says a LOT to me!!! its nice to see a man that takes pride in his work!!! i will be trying one in the spring with that trial program for sure unless i just go ahead and order one instead...

Hey another local maxxer...
i,m about an hour away from you, i travel to johnstown a lot to visit family and friends there.

I have a maxgasser myself, actually Rick is making me a new one with blue stitching. You can always try mine out in the spring if thats easier than trying to get the loaner.

You will be impressed with the quality & comfort of Ricks seat...

Just reading the last few posts and I gotta say I am amazed people are getting custom, made to order seats made from all new materials in a week!? Sportmax even says on their website the wait for a seat is 6-8 weeks! That is for a seat on a factory stock seat pan and reshaped factory foam and sometimes added foam. And it's still not the quality of a M.G. seat. I don't know how the guy does it. He works a day job and must have elves in a workshop stamping metal, welding pieces, pouring foam, gluing foam, cutting and sewing covers, riveting, packing, shipping, answering emails, accounting, quality control, order raw materials, cleaning and organizing the shop, designing the Gen 2 version. Did I leave anything out? Amazing, just amazing...In a WEEK !!!

Bill , sorry for the delay on your blue stitched seat, I got a spot on the first one,so I had to get another cover ready.I will have it to you shortly.

Patmax,no elves, just a dream and one degree more effort. and just for the record, I dont sew the covers(I do cut them all by hand)and the gen II design wont start untill the first part of the dream comes true!(have to get one first)but when I do......................Ive got Ideas!

All right boys and girls, I received my new Maxgasser seat last night and stated by many others, this seat is made of top quality materials and of great craftmanship!

Installation on my bike was a breeze and it looks very nice, love the way it follows the lines of the bike.

Spent the rest of the night, sitting on it making brum, brum sounds.

Only about 2-3 months before I can get to try it for real :snow:

Thanks alot for Rick for your patience with me during the material selection process.

Mike
