I allways like the look of the rune its a master piece of mass production from honda , I had a buddy who owned one and he spent more time cleaning that bike than riding it .
This is the first year production on the F6B and no ABS and no reverse , not sure what the motorcycle manufactures are thinking Europe gets ABS and we get non .
I have been rotating out some of my track bikes ... slowing down a bit , still tare up the back roads on supermoto bikes .
My new 2nd gen great machine but also my 1st gen is bad ass bike , have a FZ1 and supermoto ... I may have to many machines but I'm happy ... could see a F6B just not yet .

Who is your buddy that had/has a Rune? I might know him.

Have a buddy Richie out of RYE , NY ... nice machine I had a chance to ride the bike ... nice machine but feel like it was like the Delorean of its day .
The USA motorcycle market is a little stail , not many bikes have that pop like the 2nd Gen Vmax ... The rune had that pop for a while .
Just a really odd market right now in my opinion .
I know europe buys my bikes that US , but they send us bikes that have no ABS and europe gets it on there model .
I'm a rider and ABS or not its just point that there going out of there way to send us the bike with out .

This is a man I know from the Rune community, named Rich, I've met at the TN rally on a couple of occasions.

I am not sure where RuneSki Rich is from, but I do know it is from way up there somewhere in the US, perhaps not too far from Canada because he always rides in with some of the riders from NJ & Canada when he comes down to the rally. Several other Rune riders from up that way that I can't exactly remember all their names. This prolly isn't the same guy as your friend, but one never knows, and it sometimes can be a small world.

Go hang at enough rallies, and the world gets smaller. When Shala first spotted her Gen II on ebay, and upon my research into it, I saw where that dealership wasn't too far from our friend "Nate" from the Rune world. After a couple quick emails & PMs, I had a 20 second video in my inbox from Nate that week, in which he went by that dealership to investigate the prospective new to us bike. He had convinced them to reconnect it's battery and hook it up to their exhaust machine so's we could hear it run before deciding to go all the way to GA to buy it.
