How does one get these covers looking like this

Hi All,

I was wondering how people get these covers to look so shiny, I assume they chrome plate plastic ??? :confused2:

You can see what I am talking about in the picture below, also the chrome circle with the lines through it below the covers.

Yes mine did too but don't seem as shiny, maybe I need to put some polish on them and shine them up..

A good wax should shine them up. A chrome polish will do nothing but scratch them...

You could buy two new ones if yours are tatty.

Or even he can buy a lazer cut stainless steel and then polish

Just for reference they are called a valve cover, part # 1FK-13550-00-00 on the microfiche. Cost about $32 each.

Python has really solid aluminum covers that handle the same area in a variety of designs. I've bought several pieces from Python and they are making some quality stuff over there IMHO.
