Hello all, i've been ghosting around on the forums for a while now as I shopped, and finally picked up a 2003 VMAX with 23k miles. Only mods that I know of are Supertrapp's, and crash bars. Here are some pics! The last one is the result of the first hard launch I tried to perform...I think I need some better rubber lol. I came from riding an 06' GSXR-600. I miss the wind protection but that's fixable. The handling is not as bad as I feared to be honest.

Thanks all! My current list of planned mods isn't anything crazy. I would definitely like to pick up a backrest for my better half, and a small flyscreen. After that, i'm thinking a nice fork brace, maybe frame braces and this winter I might get a set of headers to go with my supertrapps, and do a Morley's Muscle kit. After that I think i'll just commit to saving up for a rear rim so I can do radials, but I know that's really costly.

Actually 03 is a great year as all mods/improvements/fixes had been done by Yamaha by that model year. If I were to buy another Max, it would be 03 or later.

That's one of the reasons I bought it as well. I was looking for sure at 93' or newer but I liked some of the other changes they made in the early 00's as well.

I dunno about the 03' having special power output, the damn thing is fast for sure but it's about what I expected lol
