I know what you mean. My max is stock (2006) and it is a real pig in the handling department. I'm not looking to spend money on making it handle, either. I'm sure it can be improved, but the bike is probably too heavy to ever handle well. As a daily ride it is very comfortable and has great acceleration.

I've seen knee draggers with the Max & the upgraded / right suspension / wheels & tire combos. ( and balls ) !! LOL

man i know your medicine. it is called money....... usd forks and a rear radial with rear shocks. and yoy will have a different bike.
you can also go for free to a harley club. park your v-max outside. drink a bear have one two fights. HARLEY DRIVERS HATE US. THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND V-MAX RULES
