LED guages wiring....

Well, this is what my bike looks like right now:


Well, I am trying to make some progress in reassembly (waiting on paint for engine and tins) and have bought these leds for the guages:


I know these lights need to go in a certain way (polarized??) and I am wondering if you just have to guess on that when you get everything hooked up or if you can install them based on looking at the wiring

and based on the wiring color, install the leds?
Clear as mud???

I just guessed till i got it right.

I had to put brighter led bulbs in the tach and temp gauge

I think the ground is the same color wire to each plug. You should be able to take a battery and some wire with alligator clips, and test each bulb individually. Then mark the bulb so you know which side is ground for installation. Or do like I did and wait until its assembled and plug each one in and flip the key to see if it lights up.

I'm just needing to get some things back together so I feel like I'm making some progress! I might try the battery technique.
