LED turn signal help please

Yamaha didn't go all in with leds because the gen 1 Vmax came out in 1985. The led replacement bulbs are always a good option. They will hyperflash though. Plus I've only found them rear turn signals.

This correct, if you use the stock flasher relay. (resistance controlled)

But a LED relay is a full electronic device, that dont care about the resistance in the LED or filament bulb.
