this is my 91'S-10 thats gone full 360*
in the buried pics it was sporting a 3" trailmaster body lift and 31" TSL Thornburgs, these tires sucked ass accept in ruts, in my opinion.
this is in front of my apartment in AR. when i was in the Air Force.
in front of my shop on base
a short time after these photos, a guy rear ended me so i repainted the whole truck and grill, and got rid of the door trim.
this is what it looked like when i got out of the service and came home in Dec of 1998.
i washed it and waxed it then took it to Carlisle All Truck Nationals 1999, this started the show truck craze for me.
in the year 2000 the 4.3 took a serious **** on me, i guess all the arkansas swamp water that got swallowed by the motor finally caught up to it.
the new ZZ4 GM Performance crate engine. 355HP at fly wheel and 405 torque. we put this motor in at the end of 2000 and finished it up in 2001 sometime. i had the 700R4 tranny built out of all corvette parts that would fit in the case done by john patrick, owner of patricks frankstown service on frankstown road in johnstown. he told me that this tranny could handle up to 450HP no problem. he used to build race car transmissions. true dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. 4.56 gears, eaton posi lock in the rear, 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radials, 15x10 eagle alloys. right after the motor swap it went down to where lee was working (selective wheels at that time) and had him do a trailmaster 5" suspension lift.
so i went back to Carlisle in 2001 and won first place in radical class for S-10's.
my wedding in 2001.
a month after my wedding.
even busted the suspension.
so after fighting for months with the girl who hit me head on's insurance company, they decided not to total it and gave me 8000 to fix it, so to the body shop it went. the frame that was under it got all twisted up all the way back so we had to get a new frame. while it was in the body shop i tore out the interior and tweeded everything myself, my buddy who owned the body shop laid down the red paint, i taped out the flames and masked off all the red, he laid the 3 phase diamond white pearl, i airbrushed the flames, he laid the clear. when it came out it was almost all customed by me to fit me and what i wanted at that time.
when it came out of the body shop, we went back to carlisle 2002. i won first place in my class again this year.
i didnt like the front bumer cover on there at all that year, but funds were depleted already for the year so i had to keep it for a year. i also didnt like the frame all painted up so i wire brushed it all back down and airbrushed it rustoleum black.
ooops, i guess drank to much Captain Morgan that year, and passed out getting up to go to my tent and slept where i fell, from what i am told.
back to carlisle in 2003, with a new front bumper. again i won first in my class.
halloween parade 04 where you guys would have seen it. and other 04 pics.
well thats about where it is now. i am in the process of building a house in ogle town now, when its done i am building a 40x60 shop and tearing it back down and doing solid axle swap, 4 link front and rear, interior roll cage integrated into the bed and up front, mastercraft suspension seats, 5 point harness's and maybe full width axles, and i am going to wheel it again like i used to, or as it started life.
its only taken since 1995 to get it to this point and only about 3 rebuilds. time to see where the next rebuild takes me. when i start the next stage of the trucks life i will keep you updated. please let me know what ya think of the truck so far.
lets see some of your toys...
