Does your airbox have any holes drilled into it, missing the "Y", not sealing right with the carbs, or anything that will allow more air into it?

Cause, I'm thinking, If it runs fine with a set of carbs with the air correctors in it, but not without them, its sounds like there is alot of air being introduced and when that happens, the bike doesn't like to run right without the air correctors.

Nope the airbox is in tip top shape, Y is still on. No leaks either(i check with starting fluid) and its always sealed tight.

Yeah i was wondering if the air correctors were the reason Seans carbs ran better on my bike... but i feel like putting them in to make it run better might just be masking the problem....?
