Well I hate to say I checked my exhaust today and I have several pipes that are leaking at the connections and there is a 2" or so crack in one of the pipes in a bend.

:(

Holy ****, that's no good. I would like to see the pics and your autopsy results.
Is it seamless pipe? Stainless? Heat crack?
Bugger, bugger, bugger.

I was impressed with the fit at the joints on mine. Don't want to think about some flaws hidden under the ceramic coat.

That sucks Todd! I have leaks to but they only showed up last year, but I have taken mine on and off 5-6 times for cleaning. I sparingly used some high temp red rtv and it sealed right up. As for the crack, yours is the first I've heard of a Mark's system cracking or do you think that it was cracked due during the bending of the pipe?
I know yours are brand new so I would give Mark a call, I'm sure you'll be happy with his customer service.

I sent him an email with pictures. Just waiting on response from him. I am sure he sounds like a stand up guy and will stand behind his product.

Brian, the extended arms don't really have clearance problems with about any exhaust or brace type. A stock length arm is a very different story. The same brace would not have cleared the Marks system on a stock arm.

I might almost think of just making it a straight pipe before I would cut the cans down any further. I think shorter cans would look a little silly on it.

But its an idea for others to think about it.

Todd

are you thinking of fabbing extensions to slide over the marks headers?

Sounds great Todd! I have my cans off and it sounds sweet, try it!:biglaugh: I'll shoot a short video today and post it up.
I ttried that yesterday too, Brian. It wasn't as load as I though it would be. But it did sound nice with no cans. I'll bet at 10k they would be loud. I'm not sure I'd want to run with that little of back pressure though.
