Tom you can't drive your age. How the he'll could you act it. Don't get hurt fellings your the only maxer left in the group that can smack for fun. I had a great time with all you guys and im sorry if I was over the top. I just wanted to all the bikes go fast. And joke around. Im vary happy with my bike and my new maxer friends it you will still have me. I know I can be a ass hole but you can't help but love me. Can I still go oct 2. If not i will still help .with route.

Thanks wildman...Sure wish it was as clean as yours,but it is a 1985.it gets a litte better each winter. Good meeting you also,sure we'll ride again....BTW,nice burn out leaving the citco! :ten_out_of_ten: If my tire wasn't four weeks old, i'd of been letting out the smoke too. ttyl.
 
Wow what excitement!!!! just so you all know, my bike is the fastest and i will tell you why. You all seen the sexy black mirror finsh of Rob's 85, and the red-Hot flames of chuck's, not to mention the carbon fiber and silver colors, but Champaign Cannery (sp?) is the lightest of all colors hence making me less weight and therfore faster...ha-ha-Ha. Great times everyone and can't wait to ride again
 
By the way i forgot to ask, whith my jardine pipes, what type of air filter should I get? The stock replacement, the UNI, the single pods? i have no intensions on tearing my carbs apart, because that is territory i have never ventured before and don't want to loose reliabilty of factory
 
I think your re jetting if you go with pods.If you need help with carbs ever,let me know.You can bring it over so we can do a plug check also to make sure the pipe didn't make you lean.
 
magnadude if you want to know for sure what your bike needs now that you have put pipes on it you need to take it to a dyno tech and let them hook up an o2 exhaust sniffer. This way you can see what range your lean or rich. When i opened my exhust my tech found that i was lean at idle to cruz rpm. Idle to 4000rpm. He also found that i was a little fat at mid to wide open throttle. So he changed the piolet jets to a bigger size and put a higher flowing k&n stock type air filter in the stock air box. He also spent a good amount of time setting my carbs up. After he got done and i rode it i could tell that the bike Idles and trottles alot better. At 6000rmp and up i can tell the bike pulls harder than it did. If you take it to Dyno Power in toledo it cost $70 to Dyno it and find out what you need to do. It cost me $280 labor to have the jets changed and carbs set up. Maybe you have a dyno tech near you. Or just take it to dyno power. This way its done right. Like the saying go's the dyno dont lie.
 
Thanks Mike, well I think there is a Dyno around here somewhere, but I can't justify that kind of coin to have someone else work on my bike. I know there is ALOT of knowlege here that someone should be able to do a "Garage Day's" this fall.

A bunch of car guys from the club are going down to Martin on sat, I was thinking of going myself but it's looking like a windy day and I don't feel like dealing with that on the strip..................Tom.
 
Who's going. If nothing else you could watch. What time. I dont get in from work until sat morn. would need a nap. Might make it by noon or so.
