Yes its a curse and a pleasure all at the same time....

Late last night, I wrapped up at 3 am. Still have the rh side scoop to do. Since I couldnt find someone to trade my mint factory black scoops for a set of workable scoops. I stripped them and they are ( 1 ) kromezone powder coat. Looks really shiny, its not chrome, but less maintenance.

I wish you would of told me, my scoops would have been perfect for you and yours perfect for me! It's looking good though Todd!

Yeah...that's the secret for PC'ing cast aluminum (especially engine cases)...outgas them for a loooooonnnngggggg time...couple hours at least...then you're goog-to-go!

The scoops came out real nice...

Wow..

Now I have to look at all the bolts on the bike and decide if I replace them or pull them and start coating and chroming them. When I installed the brake arm, the bolts looked like **** and I didnt have time to plate them. So I ll be doing that sometime soon.

Still have to finish the brake coversion. I ve been too tied up to make brackets for the conversion. Simple job I know, just not enough time in the day for me.

Its little things like this that take up time.

Had to machine a new nozzle for the media blaster.

I ll make this one last longer by heat treating it.

A little scaley, but its only a media nozzle, I wont clean it, just install and go.

Hayabusa master cylinder. I am not fond of it and I will switch fo a ZX14 brake and clutch master soon.

One brake was better than two original brakes from the factory. So the next one I ll mount after I get the caliper back together. The master I got was a pile of crap. It was dumped and they neglected to mention it had road rash. And the pictures didnt show it, just the paint being gone.... but oh well for now, the bike has brakes again!

Well I had one caliper apart and was going to rebuild both. But decided to ride it a little this weekend with just one caliper. I put 25 miles on it. 15 miles one day to test and 10 miles yesterday to a buddies house and back and then was going to be a few hundred miles saturday/sunday.

But my caliper decided to lock up and ruin a rotor.... I ll post a picture later. So I ended up putting the stock brakes back on and did around 350 miles on them.

Now to get a zx14 brake master and a busa caliper rebuild kit. I might have to get a R1 rotor as well, hoping its just colored and not warped.
