i think thats the route im going to take, picking up some fork oil monday probably...
the spring thing is just bugging me to death.. every time i look at my max i feel like ive done him wrong. like i corrupted its purity or something. I should have just left it alone, now im paying for it.

altho the more i think about it, is it possible it is there to keep the damper rod from sticking to the seat (like mine did until i put a bit of oil in it) b/c once it sticks its pretty hard to get apart since the slider is already fully compressed?
