Need help with rear turn signals!

I have a 2018 VMax and just installed a front and rear dash cam (Ventrue F1). I started my bike and noticed that I dont have any lights coming from the rear turns. If I hit the switch it will blink left or right, but I am not getting any running lights. Is this normal or did I botch something?

Not sure, but you could probably do it by yourself with a bunch of diodes and some resistors, but I'm not an electronic guy, just thinking loud.

I know I could do it myself but I have watched a million videos on YouTube and it APPEARS that the rear turns are only that - turns. It doesnt appear they light up. Considering what I did to my VMax, I cant imagine doing anything that would have affected them. I think thats how they are, but I would love someone else who owns a VMax to look at theirs when the bike is running and see if they light up.

Jeff Marcum (YouTuber who talks about his 2020 VMax) just confirmed the rear turns are off when the bike is running, so I didn't do anything wrong! For anyone interested, I put a lof of stuff on my bike (Denali Soundbomb, LED's, hard wired Valentine 1 with HARD unit, Ventrue F1 camera system - front and back) and would love to know what others have done! Trying to spread the VMax love!

No they don't light up only when the turn signals are on.

I have the F1 but not started the install yet. Where did you mount the cameras, controller and computer?

I mounted the main camera unde the headlight and the rear camera just behind the passenger backrest. I am anal about how things look and the job was absolutely pro!!! Also, I removed the tool kit from the left side of the bike and put the F1 head unit in there. Ill send pics!

I placed the button module on the inside of the left air intake using 3M heavy duty velcro. The velcro is made of plastic, not cloth, and is not only weather proof but VERY heavy duty. You can get it a Home Depot. When you use the app on your phone, you will never use the button module, but it is accessible by hand if ncessary. The front camera was screwed to the plate under the headlight. It is a PERFECT location and easily removed by the 2 screws. I also had to drill a hole in the metal to mount the bracket. The rear camera was mounted to an "L" bracket I bought on Amazon. It isnt perfect but it fit the bill. I removed the rear back rest, used more velcro and screwed the backrest on. It is VERY solid! Again, the F1 unit was placed in the left side of the bike where the tool kit is. It fits PERFECTLY and I was able to run the wires into the side. Entire project took me about 6 hours and a lot of it was trying to determine where to put everyting.

For the front camera. Did you remove the bracket from the bike to drill the hole?

I did remove the front bracket. Its easily removable with only the 2 screws. I then drilled the plate as carefully as I could. Came out perfect.
