I like the sound of my Holeshots....a lot. I also like the fact that my bike idles smooth as butter after a carb sync. If I want to hear the motor, I'm going to hear it right, as in WFO in second with the front wheel off the ground....not tapping it just off idle. I'd rather listen to the smooth consistent idle, among a bunch of two cylinders that lope and fart and pop.

Almost everyone thinks that the sound of his/her pipes is ear candy. The problem is that what one person thinks is ear candy may sound like nails in a blender to another person. Personally, I like the sound of most aftermarket pipes but not when they wake me at 2am on a work night. That sort of behaviour gives motorcyclists a bad rep.

Speaking of which, there was a recent article in the Toronto Star that confirms the noise by-law aimed specificallyat motorcycles will be passed in Caledon, Ontario. Calgary is also following suit but their noise police will be looking at offending cars, bikes, and semis. $150 for a 1st offense. I know some of you would fight such a ticket but I dislike the idea of wasting a 1/2 day at court on the chance I might win.
