I think with the 09 they have lost the Original Muscle Bike look .:eusa_dance:

You're kidding right??
Aside from the intake scoops, meaty rear tire, shift light, mid controls, seriously bad-ass looking v-twin motor and blacked out paint. What else does it need? A blower strapped to the top of the tank?

I think with the new one it doesn't look like it is "all motor" like the old one. I'm not sure why... maybe it is the new bigger frame. Also the motor looks more compact, the cylinders look like they are closer together in the V.

IMO, it has a updated muscle bike look to it. I like the Shawn Kloker insipired rear brake location, it has the 4gasem brake rotors, a futuristic looking headlight like Rusty McNeil runs, the rear fender of a custom stretched swingarm Vmax that I saw recently.
I really think Yamaha incorporated quite a few of the mods we all have done/ would like to do to our beloved Vmax. I think they listened to the critisim of the lower radiator positioning and cleaned that up a lot. I bet they spent a lot of time looking at how we modded the original then tried to incorporate those with all the latest tech to the new Vmax.
Give Vmaxers a while and it too will have all sorts of mods to fit it too the owners liking. Hopefuly Yamaha won't have such a long product cycle before they update it again.
