Newb. . .engine mod questions???

Hey. . .I'm new to the V-Max so bear with me on these questions because the FAQ page was blank.

What years were the V-Max made?
The V-Max is air cooled isn't it?
What was the OEM displacement?
I see that their long rod and big bores available. . .is it possible to reduce the displacement of the V-Max engine to 1000cc?

These are all questions for a potential project I am thinking of.

To reduce would require re-sleeving to a smaller bore sleeve. Not too sure why one would want to go even smaller.
