Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

hey being a eagles fan since the Jaworski days. i'm kinda used to them throwing away a game. or season.

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

The God of football punished the Eagles and whoever canceled the game in the first place last night...all I can say is....na na na na na naaaaa...:rofl_200:

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

I don't get why everyone thinks its a big deal to cancel the game. I don't think it had anything to do with the players being out in the snow. I think it has more to do with the fact the whole east coast was crushed by the blizzard, thousands of flights were cancelled, the roads were a wreck and it would have probably been hell trying to fill a stadium with fans and players in those conditons. :confused2:

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

The players and media were already at the stadium. I think it was made to save the fans that wanted to go to a football game even in a storm. If the had played the game then it would possibly turn into a PR nightmare for Goodell if any of the fans had got stranded or worse in the storm. If the game was in Green Bay there would have been a game, they know how to handle snow. I truely hope it wasn't to save the fans from sitting in a snowstorm to watch the game, that would be wrong, football is made to be played/ watched in the elements. Just ask the Patriots, they are always ready to wheel out their snowblower when THEIR team needs to make a critical field goal!:rofl_200:

Yup. That was it...The money from parking and food/drink was going to take the hit.......I went to Pats vs GB the week before and they had a snowstorm predicted for that night for a little while. But sadly, hardly a flake of snow that night...............

I love it when they pull out that footage.......the snow plow's hanging from the ceiling in the team's HOF :clapping::rofl_200::rofl_200:

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

The Vikings looked great last night. The Eagles, no so. Vick shouldn't of taken that call from O. If Minn wouldn't of dropped so many interception possibilities, they could of added another possible 14-21 points.

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

If nd4topspd made it to the KC- Raiders game, bet it was a long, thawing ride home. Chiefs only got beat 31-10. The Raiders have been improving. No front line for KC today. Reminded me of the days of Thigpen. When he got the ball in his hands, he best be a beat'n feet.

GB and Chi is a good match up so far. 3-3 end of the 3rd.

Re: NFL Lounge - 2009

13-3 Home field for the playoffs , I can say it now , playoff jinx is gone. Falcons !:clapping::clapping::clapping:

Grats Rollie! ATL has a awesome team and looks good to go!
Steelers kicked off and at the end of the second play of the game it looked like this:
Defense- Troy Polomalu has a interception.
Offense- Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for a touchdown.
Offense- Mike Wallace has a 56 yard touchdown reception.
The touchdown set a Steeler record for most passes for touchdowns over 40 yds. It took Bradshaw/ Stallworth 10 years to acheive while the Ben/ Mike combo did it in only 32 games!
Grats to all the teams that made the playoffs, should be another great post season!:punk:
