Shes runnin good, still rich by DYNO reading Im sure but I drilled FAT holes in the top of my air box Y and it seemed to make it run a little smoother. For now feeling smooth and makin me happy will do and I can further adress my richness later,Its just nice to have it start, run, idle perfectly, run through the RPM's seemlessly,be shut off AND start again. So very nice.I almost sold her because she was running so bad around this time last year so to have it feel like a bike again is really making me fall in love with her all over again.

good news. how long have u had her again?

Ive had her almost exactly a year at this point,my registration just came and whent so I would say a year and a month...the previous owner lived ON A LAKE,beach front property no less and THAT is where he kept her. So the whole fuel system rusted and rotted out, followed by a crazy mishap with my timing advance hose getting "cut" so it was incapable of going above 65mph for months because I didnt know better and after 4 trips to the shop they had no clue what the issue was(at this point I know her well and dont allow these type of things to happen)...heres some quick pics I took when I first dragged her home. Its been a bit of a transormation and she is NOWHERE near done yet

If you really want a patent on it, let me know. I can point you in the right direction (free) or do it for you (not free). "Design patents" are what you apply for via the US Patent and Trademark Office for this sort of thing (e.g., something that doesn't have functionality, but rather, just a novel shape or a "design,") but it is nevertheless enforceable as a US patent. We do these sorts of things for automotive companies who patent the actual shape of their car or of new parts of the car via "design" patents to prevent copying by other players.

(PS: I'm a patent attorney).

well there ya go :) And there's your forum handle too!

That and how with a large family and after a blown custom-painted Rocket with side-car you can go get yourself a Max as a 2nd bike and start feeding the mod monkey straight away. We can only dream..

It's all smoke and mirrors friend :confused2:

As for the "Geek_Law" handle, I worked as a software engineer for more than a decade. Programming back end systems mostly to automate computer manufacturing processes and testing.

That's the "Geek" Part. Wanna ask me a question about Unix???

The "Law" part is now obvious. This is my second career. Turns out, the world needs nerdy geeky lawyers! Who knew? So I sit here in my office and talk about compilers and operating systems and memory and data storage systems and data signals and encryption all day long with engineers and inventors who are seeking patents, whilst my more "mainstream" legal colleagues look at me like I'm speaking another language.

Then I pick a fight with the US Patent and Trademark office, throwing around prima facie case, US Supreme Court precedential opinions, quid pro quo, non-sequitur, in arguendo, and a bunch of other legal mumbo jumbo junk, and my engineering friends think I'm drunk.

Then I go home and take apart a motorcycle and get my hands all dirty, and again, pretty much everybody I know says, WTF?!?!?!

But, to each their own as it were. Anyway, my kids LOVE the motorcycles. My daughter especially begs me to really drop the hammer on the rocket when we're going on rides. My youngest son ... not so much :ummm:

hahaha that's great fun! I can just imagine your colleagues' faces when you talk geek, and the inventors/engineers' faces when the legal talk is up :)

About the kids, yea well, it's always like this - they usually do exactly the opposite of what you expect! My daughter will be 18 next year, she's not really into bikes but always loves riding with me..
