Oil pressure

Hi guys,I just put a new oil pressure gage on my max and when she is warmed up at the tach at a grand the pressure is 10psi and when I rev it to about 5 grand it about 65 psi .Do those sound like good numbers?.

Actually, that is pretty normal for a stock pump when the engine is up to temp.

Is 10 psi anything to be worried about?.I hope I dont have any blockages.

This summer, when it's really hot out don't be surprised to see almost no o/p at idle, and around 8 or 9 lbs. per K of tach reading. It's normal.

10psi at idle is great! As it gets worn out, the oil pressure at idle will slowly drop. But for now, be happy!

Should I go to thicker oil as the bike ages maybe?.

Volume is more important, start it up, if it pulls the oil down below the site glass in 10 seconds or so....yer G2G.
