I posted them up so we could keep an eye out and to know that they are out there. I sure after movie that the riders will see the GENll and then have sticker shock :surprise: and then think a GENl at that price might be a good value.JYALJH007FA000477 is on ebay all stock http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1ST-YEAR-1985-YAMAHA-VMAX-1200-ONE-OWNER-8-917-MILES-RUNS-AND-SHIFTS-SMOOTH-/230753550996?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item35b9fbc294#ht_500wt_1182

I thought those numbers might be nice to have for the list
New one for the list, 85 model serial #0524 !!!! All original except for rear progressive springs!
Great! I've added you to the list in post #205.
It looks really clean. How many miles?
Norm
Sadly I must pull my #255 from the list. A new owner was found in the general area by the name of Curtis. I'll have to see if he's on here or not.
I've been on the hunt and landed a mint '89 though so still in the happy seat. Just don't need to wrench on it. I may end up with it again but working on a different form of restore. I can only say i had NO IDEA. #255 has a mushed 2nd gear and now that i can ride properly - WOW!
I have recently picked up an 85, last four on the VIN is 0261 and only has 14.4K miles. James

That's funny, I also got a 0261 :clapping:. Mine starts with JYA1GR which I heard means it's a Canadian one. Got 55K known miles on it, was imported into the Netherlands in 95. Got 93+ wheel in front, Deget rear wheel, R1 brakes all round and overdrive 5. Else it`s relatively stock.
Well, Criminey Cricket! This is interesting.
We'll just put 'em both in there and note that one is from Canada, eh?
Thanks for posting, Rempage.
Yeah, you wouldn't have guessed that one :rofl_200:. Do we know when one series was actually built? That way we know what bike (from all the numbers so far) is actually the oldest.
0823 here. She has new pipes and cosmetic mod's but AFAIK the engine hasn't been touched. Odometer reads 18k miles but I'm pretty sure she's got more than that (only owned it for 3 years). Runs strong
