Original or replaced speedometer?

Hello forum, I'm new here and I've been trying to learn as much as I can about Vmaxes from you guys. I recently saw a 1994 Vmax for sale with an unusual amount of miles (only 5071) which sets off alarm bells because when I look at the speedometer it looks different than what I would expect from one of that year as it doesn't have the red 55 or the small letters at the bottom. (NIPPON SEIKI)
So my question is... Is this a good pedometer or was it replaced with a newer aftermarker to make it look like it has less miles?
