Sweet! I missed this last year cause I didn't put it on the calendar noticed it the day after!:bang head:
Anyway, is this an open event? I have some non-Vmax friends who would probably come. Also, is the riding too brisk for those going 2-up?
Looking forward to it!

Depends on what the passengers feel about the ride being "brisk"! It's not been uncommon for me to burn up the roads with a passenger on though I've been a little better the last few years.

Every rider skill and bike type is invited. Just be aware that the very slowest riders do not generally get much of a break between stops. The fast guys get a long break and by the time the riders at the end of the pack catch up we are all ready to go again.

Just reserved a couple of rooms (for our group) next door at the Trails in. They said they have some more rooms available as needed too. 1800-862-4691
I think that is the one That FNG John and trudy stayed at last year. Right next door. they liked the place as it had a pool. Not sure about parking tho.
When we get there thursday i will take notice. If it looks like your trailer will have a tough time i will try to park our bikes out where u parked last year at our place so you can park there.

Any and all bikes are welcome. like Sean said the slower riders seem to get a smaller breaks during the ride but will make it clear that the last riders, if they need a break to just wave at us in the front and we can wait. No problems.

getting Close.

I have been notified by my friends that Newton county is trying to gain revenue through police actions.
What I'm trying to say is do not use a "brisk" pace around Jasper.
A few have been arrested, and one even got a warning ticket for riding with his visor up.
Just a head's up.

That's cool. Other than right at the cliffhouse and going thru jasper we won't spend too much time on the main lanes.
Altho a couple years ago. we turn on 74 right after jasper and stop to make sure all makes the Turn. Barney 5 turns in behind us, And we are all stopped. So he then hauls butt past us. Huummm wonder what his hurry was? Well a minute later we mount up, head up the hill and maybe 1/2 mile later, around next turn, LOOK it's barney 5 sitting facing us alongside the road, thinking that we were not gonna know that he was ahead somewhere. I KNOW he had to be mad when we cruised by and waved.

That river access point wouldn't have been right around the corner (south) of the junction of 74 & 327, would it? It seems it wasn't very far after we left the Cliff House and got back on 74 that we stopped off and got the gravel side road leading under the bridge.

It's either there, or right at the junction of hwy 7 and 74.

Basicly, what I'm saying is that I was following you, and had no idea, at the time, where I was and having so much fun, I didn't care where we were. :clapping:

Michael,

The wife and I stumbled past this river access point as we rode around this weekend.

It isn't where I thought it was. It is just a few feet South of the junction of 74 and 43 hwys.

On my map, 74 ends (West of Jasper) there and 43 goes North or South. It's inside part of Lost Valley State Park.

We rode about 250 miles around and saw absolutely no Po Po this weekend - except the usual Eureka Springs variety. Of course, they tend to blend in to the scenery as insignificant when you are not floggin' it. And I was riding with Shala, and therefore, not flogging it.

That cheeseburger at the Cliffhouse Inn sure hit the spot, and the twenty plus mile view is still as purdy as last year.

Cool. glad you found it. looked it up on satalite map once you mentioned where it was at. We will have to stop for a quick break like last year.

just about snoozed too long on my reservations:rofl_200:but I am good to go at the Pinetop Lodge:eusa_dance:

Krystal and I have reservations at the Trails Inn. Were planning to get there Thursday night, but might have to hold off until Friday morning.

Train, Whats the count on people showing up, that you know of?

Weather permitting. My long time Little Lover and Mr. Max will be there Friday afternoon. Crashing at one of our favorite off the beating path Eureka Springs motels for the past decade or more. Looking forward to it!

Looks like we will get there late afternoon on Friday. The trailer (and Kevin/Shannon) will be there early afternoon.

Sean

Looking like it will Be one of the best turnouts yet. Would not be supprised if there were 25-30 bikes.

Everyone pray for great weather

1 for Shannon
1 for John E
1 Display Bike (For LLoyd Duhon)
1 Picking up on the way down (will be apart)
Lots of misc goodies (need to let me know what anyone wants in particular)

I know Jim from Topeka (bought his 85 new) is coming with his lady. Not sure who else at this point.

I may have recruited 1 if not 2 more with Vmax's. Sean, a guy named John from Joplin might call you. He's needing some 147.5 mains and a shortened k stand in black. So you might have those on hand. Hopefully he will make the rally to purchase them and we can wrench on his 06. Glad to hear you bought that parted bike from my powdercoaters employee. Enjoy!

I'm planning on hitting the Springs next year. Probably riding from Omaha by myself!

Yep Clay, Your other friend called me earlier today. Told him will be bringing a trailer fill of goodies.

Nice. I met a vendor from work for dinner at a local bar & grill and walk out to find John "who called you" parked next to me sitting on a railroad tie admiring my Max. We hit it off quick and was the first maxer in my area that seamed to have his shit together. Most others have been glad to thrash and have a bike dumbasses. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Looking forward to seeing you and Beth next week.
